This charity seminar is in aid of the Lily Mae Foundation.

Our daughter, Mila Doreen Seal, passed away on the 10/05/2022 at 8am weighing 1.5 pounds at 23 weeks. The Lily Mae Foundation donated a memory box to us that contains all our precious memories of our little girl, and has been a real comfort to us. We would like to give back and give other bereaved families the comfort we’ve had from this memory box.

We pre planned this seminar before this happened and would like to donate proceeds and also any kind donations to this charity. A memory box costs £44 pound to make up and give. Whether you would like to attend or not please give a small donation in remembrance to our beautiful baby girl Mila.

Event Details -

The Historical Blade Seminar is being hosted by Tommy Joe Moore, Tom Edison Peña and Jamie Seal taking an in depth look at the use of the knife from the medieval to modern era.

Tom Edison Peña will be covering the use of the iconic Balisong and its historical connection to the Philippines plus the South East Asian Kerambit! Tom is a world class instructor with extensive knowledge on real world knife defence and application!

Tommy will be teaching the use of the Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife which is the iconic weapon of the British Commandos! It was developed by William Ewart Fairbairn and Eric Anthony Sykes in Shanghai based on ideas that the two men had while serving on the Shanghai Municipal Police in China before World War II. It was made famous during World War II when issued to British Commandos, the Airborne Forces, the SAS and many other units, especially for the Normandy landings in June 1944.

Jamie will be teaching the use of the traditional Japanese Tantō 短刀 (Short Sword/Dagger) that were worn by the samurai class of feudal Japan. The tantō dates to the Heian period, when it was mainly used as a weapon but evolved in design over the years to become more ornate. Tantō are used in traditional martial arts (Tantojutsu) and have seen a resurgence in the West since the 1980s as a point style of modern tactical knives, designed for piercing or stabbing.

The seminar will run from 10am until 5pm and the agenda for the seminar is as follows:
